TRAINING WITH HEIDI
KIND FAIR AND EFFECTIVE
I am a member of the Association of pet dog trainers which means I have been through written practical and oral assessments in order to prove I have the knowledge to become a member. for more information about what that involves see here www.apdt.co.uk/how-to-become-a-member
We believe in only kind fair and effective training methods supported by the Association of Pet Dog Trainers. www.apdt.co.uk
Pet Dilemmas use positive reward based training Methods. We believe in motivating your pet into making their own decisions which can be rewarded and then in time become habit. We want you and your pet to enjoy training and learning new things. There is nothing more special than the 'human animal bond' which can only be strengthened with kind and enjoyable training. a healthy state of mind

PUPPY TRAINING
Having a new puppy in the house is an exciting time. It can also be exhausting and frustrating and not much fun! I can help you set up a routine and training schedule to help you work with the biting/teething, toilet training, appropriate play and sleep.
Once all those things are underway you can begin working on the basics of teaching your puppy to pay attention to you when needed and learning to settle in different environments and being a well rounded well adjusted member of society.

ADULT DOG TRAINING
We will discuss what help you need with your dog and any specific behaviours you would like to improve or anything new you would like to teach your dog. I will then work with you over the four sessions (usually one week apart) to build each week on getting to your goal. Dog training is a process and time and patience is essential. I can not do the work for you, I can give you the skills and tools to help you work with your dog and build on your bond and communication together. When it comes together it is a wonderful thing!

PET FIRST AID SEMINARS
I can provide either in person or on line pet first aid training. The seminar is an interactive fun 3 hour session. Certificates will be provided for attendees. I am happy to travel within the South of England to provide these. (Travel expenses apply). Email me to discuss possibilities.

ASSISTANCE DOG TRAINING
Assistance dogs are trained to support humans in a number of ways. Autistic people or People with medical conditions or disabilities can have their lives transformed by having a canine companion to assist them in every day living. These dogs can enable their people to more easily access the world around them and to expand their horizons. I work with a wonderful charity called Dogs for Autism and an owner trained assistance dog support academy called Pawsable. find out more about them here:

ABOUT ME
Heidi Zouroudis QVN MAPDT
I am a Qualified Veterinary Nurse and a Member of the Association Of Pet Dog Trainers (membership no: 01135). I started my working life in veterinary practice in 1998, qualifying in 2003. I went on to become head nurse of the practice where I was working. During my years in veterinary practice I experienced a wide variety of attitudes from human beings towards animals. I also experienced a wide variety of animal behaviours while handling and observing others handling the animals in my care. This made me curious about how these animals were feeling and what they were thinking.
I consequently went on to do a companion animal behaviour course and have since attended numerous seminars and conferences on the complex subjects of animal behaviour and training. I am a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers. I have now been helping owners with their pet dilemmas since 2005. I provide training for all ages of dogs and have a special interest in assistance dog training working along side the wonderful charity Dogs for autism. The best part of what I do is teaching young puppies as I hope to help the next generation of dogs to be well socialised and great members of society and to help their owners to understand how their dogs think and therefore train them appropriately and in a kind and effective way.
